Dr. Ashley is a native of Donalsonville, Georgia, and joined Southeastern Pediatric Associates in 1999. His research on Fragile X Syndrome, the most common cause of inherited mental retardation, resulted in multiple publications and speaking engagements of international significance. Dr. Ashley was presented the Master
Pediatrician Award by the Children’s Hospital of Alabama in 2011.
Today, he is actively involved in pediatric research, and has been the Principal Investigator on several studies.
Dr. Ashley and his wife Kelly, live in Dothan, and enjoy spending time with their two sons. He enjoys hunting, antique collecting, and bottle digging and collecting. An avid Georgia Bulldog fan, you might catch him saying, “Go Dawgs!”
