Dr. Carpenter is a graduate of the University of Georgia where he completed his undergraduate degree in Microbiology & Psychology Magna Cum Laude.  He attended the Medial College of Georgia, School of Medicine in Augusta and completed his pediatric residency in 1995, at the Department of Pediatrics at the Medical College of Georgia.  Upon completion of his medical residency, Dr. Carpenter opened a private practice in Bainbridge, Georgia at Port City Pediatrics and was honored to become a Diplomat of the National Board of Medical Examiners.  In June of 1995, he became a Diplomat of American Board of Pediatrics before relocating his practice to Sandersville, Georgia. 

In 1998, Dr. Carpenter returned to Bainbridge and practiced pediatrics with privileges at Memorial Hospital and Manor.  Taking special interests in asthma and ADD/ADHD patient cases, he chose to move across State lines and join Southeastern Pediatric Associates in 2012. Throughout his career Dr. Carpenter has received numerous honors such as the Dean’s Research Fellowship at Medical College of Georgia; Phi Beta Kappa, National Honorary; Phi Kappa Phi, National Scholastic Honorary.  He is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Dr. Carpenter has three children, Sarah Grace, Christopher, and John Davis.  He enjoys golfing, building projects, boats, and competing in triathlons.
