Dr. Searcy first established a private practice in Cincinnati, Ohio, and served as Assistant Professor of pediatrics at CHMC until 1988. He returned to Alabama in September 1988 and joined Southeastern Pediatric Associates. In 1992, Dr. Searcy accepted a position with the Alabama Medicaid Agency as Medical Director where he continued with night and weekend coverage for a local pediatric group. After 15 years with the Alabama Medicaid Agency Dr. Searcy relocated to Dothan and is in practice here with his daughter, Dr. Angela Blaxton.
In his spare time, Dr. Searcy spends time with his wife, Lee, his three children, and seven grandchildren. He is an active member of Calvary Baptist Church where he leads discipleship groups, and serves as a deacon. He participates in a medical mission to Haiti every year.
Dr. Searcy enjoys reading, spending time on the water- boating, fishing and skiing.
