Dr. Germanson is a native of Birmingham, Alabama. She received a Bachelor of Science degree from Samford University and earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine. She completed her pediatric residency at The Children’s Hospital of Alabama in Birmingham where she received numerous awards during her training for her devotion to caring for children and their families. Dr. Germanson is Board Certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She is a board member of Southeast Alabama Child Advocacy Center.

Dr. Germanson is an active member of her church and community. She and her husband Matt have been married since 1996 and have two sons, Samuel and Tucker. She enjoys animals, traveling, scrapbooking and photography.
