Dr. Williams joined Southeastern Pediatric Associates in 1977, after completing his residency as Chief Resident of Children’s Hospital of Alabama.
Community minded, Dr. Williams has served as President of the Dothan/Houston County Rotary Club and the Wiregrass Museum of Art, and is a founding Board member of the Southeast Alabama Child Advocacy Center. He has served as Chief of Staff at
Flowers Hospital, and Southeast Alabama Medical Center, and is former president of the Alabama Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He received the Master Pediatrician Award from the Children’s Hospital of Alabama, and numerous other
awards.
Dr. Williams’ devotion to his patients and the Wiregrass community is most evident in the echoes of parents, some of whom were patients of Dr. Williams as children. One such mom, anxious about her first baby, recalls Dr. Williams as a pediatrician who was “in her corner.” Other parents have described Dr. Williams as a dedicated, compassionate, servant who is dearly loved. He is quoted as saying, “Pediatricians must be the children’s voice.”
Dr. Williams and his wife, Malissa, are active members of First Baptist Church where he serves as a deacon. He enjoys spending time with family which includes his daughter, Andrea, her husband, and his four grandchildren which range in age from one month to
eight years old. Dr. Williams heart to serve others leads him to faithfully serve in Guatemala on medical mission every year.
“Southeastern Peds is filled with friendly, caring people. I know that my son is in great hands. I will continue to recommend SEP to other friends and family!”

"I have been using this facility for 24 years. My own 2 children were patients and now my 2 grandchildren are patients. I think that speaks volumes about my confidence in this facility. Keep up the good work.”
